multiple connect instances with single Oracle nhinc_user

dtrepanier
We have a connect 4.6 instance working with Oracle backend, instead of MySQL.  Now we are setting up a second instance of 4.6 and our DBA is wondering if there is any reason that we can’t use the same Oracle user (schema) for both Connect instances ?

Thanks,
Dave

Hey Dave,

From a CONNECT perspective, there shouldn't be any issues. Each instance of CONNECT will use the data sources configured in your application server so as long as they are configured correctly in each server and your database is accepting connections from both, there should be no issues at the CONNECT level.

OK, I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything in the code or DDL that assumes the tables are dedicated to a single instance of the gateway.
