Switching from MySQL to Oracle database for Connect 4.0

Arun Agara
Hi all,

If anyone would like to use Oracle Database instead of MySQL and validate using SOAP UI, here is the instructions. Also I have attached the DDL script generated from Oracle. I tested the Connect software  against Oracle 11g XE database without any issues. I have not posted the script for populating data, since BLOB data cannot be inserted using the insert statements in Oracle.

I did couple of things to populate the data. I removed the BLOB (rawdata) data and also used TODATE since the populateTestData provided in nhincdb is specific to MySQL.

The syntax for TO_Date function is T0_DATE('2008-06-27 13:49:24','YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS').
I  manually inserted few documents (rawdata column which is of BLOB datatype) from SQL Developer to do validation tests.
