Do my adapters have to be in the same ear as CONNECT?

Daniel Kaplan
I have found this: https://developer.connectopensource.org/display/CONNECT4/Deploying+Java+Adapters  This is a little odd to me.  Since CONNECT is using web services to call its adapters, shouldn't it be possible to configure CONNECT to call adapters in a separate ear by configuring a different context/port for it to call?  This was possible in earlier versions of connect.

If no and if I go with #2, do I need to restart glassfish after I drop the adapters into that folder for them to be used?

Yes. If the call is through web service Adapters can be deployed as a separate ear.

For second question- After deploying Adapter jar in the exploded ear you have to re-start glassfish App server.
