I am following steps in the link https://connectopensource.atlassian.net/wiki/display/CONNECT4/Deploying+CONNECT+4.6+from+Binaries.
I installed java 1.7, glassfish 3.1.2.2,connect 4.6
But at the step Deploy Glassfish when i click ok . The system will return "Error occurred during deployment: Exception while shutting down application container : java.lang.NullPointerException. Please see server.log for more details". The server.log contains the message .

Hi rejeesh,

Can you please post your server.log? FYI, we are no supporting glassfish starting on 4.7. We recommends you use one of those servers (wildfly 8.2.1, weblogic or websphere) as our official ones.

By the way, which organization (government agency or commercial) do you support/associate?

Thank you for using our product.

Deploy action successfully completed after coping the generated key files to the directory "C:\glassfish3\glassfish\domains\domain1\config"  .
Key file generated using the given commands

keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -keystore gateway.jks -keypass changeit -storepass changeit -validity 365 -alias gateway -dname "cn=host1"
keytool -export -rfc -alias gateway -file HOST1.cer -keystore gateway.jks -keypass changeit -storepass changeit
keytool -import -v -noprompt -trustcacerts -alias HOST1 -file HOST1.cer -keystore cacerts.jks -storepass changeit

Is this the correct procedure?. We completed Test with Soap UI,Deployed ADMIN GUI.

Hi David,

That is correct procedure.  Glad it works for you :). Consider to use wildfly/websphere/weblogic app servers going forward as we don't support glassfish anymore.

David, did all the SoapUI tests pass?

Yes, you have to generate those key stores. We typically suggest putting them in the CONNECT properties directory but as long as they're in the directory specified in your domain.xml, you should be good. One more thing:

[#|2016-12-29T17:22:56.888+0530|WARNING|glassfish3.1.2|javax.enterprise.system.container.web.com.sun.enterprise.web|_ThreadID=61;_ThreadName=Thread-2;|java.lang.IllegalStateException: ContainerBase.addChild: start: org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException: Invalid bean definition with name 'RespondingGateway_Service' defined in null: Could not resolve placeholder 'nhinc.properties.dir'

In your domain.xml, you need to specify the nhinc.properties.dir path (CONNECT properties directory).

Hope this helps,

Sovann

Re: Deploy Applications on glassfisg gives NullPointerException.

Hi ,

We tested the connect with DIL testing tool and its working perfectly[implemented with jboss + connect 4.7].
Now we want to integrate the connect with our Application its a php application .We are getting an error in the server log after calling the service.

Code we used to trigger the patient discovery in php :-

$options = array(
                'verifypeer'          => true,
                'verifyhost'          => true,
                'soap_version'        => SOAP_1_2,
                'trace'               => 1,
                'exceptions'          => 1,
                'connection_timeout'  => 180
                );

$client = new \SoapClient("http://192.168.1.37:8080/Gateway/PatientDiscovery/1_0/EntityPatientDiscovery?wsdl", $options);
$result = $client->RespondingGateway_PRPA_IN201305UV02();
var_dump($result);//For printing  result

We are geting the error in error log :- 19:05:34,424 WARN  [org.apache.cxf.phase.PhaseInterceptorChain] (http--0.0.0.0-8080-2) Application {urn:gov:hhs:fha:nhinc:entitypatientdiscovery}EntityPatientDiscovery#{urn:gov:hhs:fha:nhinc:entitypatientdiscovery}RespondingGateway_PRPA_IN201305UV02 has thrown exception, unwinding now: org.apache.cxf.interceptor.Fault

Can you please give an idea about what are all the params we have to sent to the web-service for getting response .

Thanks
